v1.0.4 — Auto Move Cursor

Bones and Coins v1.0.4 shipped on 9 September 2026, two days after the Steam launch. The changelog on SteamDB and incremental databases lists one named feature: Auto Move Cursor.

What Auto Move Cursor does

The Auto Move Cursor is a quality-of-life feature that moves the torch cursor automatically toward enemies on the dungeon floor. Instead of manually hovering your mouse over every skeleton pack, the cursor tracks targets. This reduces idle clicking during auto-battles and lets you focus on buying upgrades between torch runs.

This is a significant addition for a game whose core loop asks you to hover a damage circle over packs while heroes auto-attack. Auto Move Cursor does not replace the torch mechanic — it automates the targeting.

When to use it

  • Early dungeon rooms where packs are predictable and you are still learning the room layout.
  • Idle farming after your party is strong enough to clear without active torch involvement.
  • Between torch runs when you are watching income tick up rather than actively clearing.

When to stay manual:

  • Dense late-game rooms where precise cursor placement matters for the Shaman mark chain.
  • Testing new party compositions where you want to see exactly where kills happen.

What this patch does not change

No balance changes, no new heroes, no new dungeon rooms. v1.0.4 is a feature patch focused on quality of life. The Day One Hero Resets patch (8 September) and the v1.0.7 Bug Fix patch are separate updates.
