Bones and Coins Weapon Tier List
Sixteen weapons, unique swings. Rank the animation speed and the drop cost, not the preview sparkle.
Bones and Coins ships sixteen weapons, each with its own attack animation. That sentence is official. A complete named list is not. This weapon tier list is a ranking method plus the few tools that actually appear in prototype, playtest, and demo footage: the starting torch, an early dagger, a wooden bow, gauntlets, and Guild talk of a skilled sword. If a website prints sixteen invented legendary names today, it is guessing.
Forge in the Blacksmith tab after loot and economy has item drops to feed it. Equip with an eye on who swings the thing. A slow two-hander on the Barbarian might still be A-tier because he stands in the pile. The same swing on a Bowman is a mistake.
S — Weapons that match a kit’s job
S-tier is not a rarity colour. It is a craft that does what the body already wants.
- Bow / extra-projectile weapons on Bowman. He already rolls extra arrows in demo callouts. Feeding that identity is how packs evaporate before the torch dies.
- Fast melee on Barbarian. He is the frontline. Attack duration (the 0.05 figure on the prototype dagger) matters more than a huge preview trail. A “skilled sword” Guild path that speeds him up is the melee version of this idea.
- Anything that helps Shaman apply marks faster. If a staff or fetish shortens the mark cycle, it is S on Shaman and junk on the tank.
A — Honest stepping stones
- Starting torch. It is your cursor. Area-size nodes on the skill tree upgrade this more than a cosmetic forge. Do not vendor the idea of the torch because a dagger exists.
- Early dagger. Prototype stats sat around 25 damage, 0.05 duration, 0.01 crit. Fine as the first Blacksmith click. Not a reason to stall the Guild.
- Gauntlets. They show up in incremental runs as a pickup. Treat them as a melee alternative, not as a hidden set bonus unless the tooltip says so.
B — Pretty and slow
Every full-release weapon has a unique animation. Unique is not better. If the swing is long and the pack has already walked out of the hitbox, the craft is B even if the trailer lingered on it. Unique enemy drops that only build this swing should be parked in Inventory until you know the room still stands still long enough.
C — Wrong slot
A bow on the Barbarian. A heavy slow melee on the Bowman. A coin-value blessing disguised as a weapon. These are C because they fight the party building plan. The item might be A on someone else.
How to rank a new craft in thirty seconds
- Read who can equip it. If the game is class-locked, stop there.
- Read attack duration and area, not just the damage integer.
- Ask whether it duplicates a blessing you already run.
- Ask whether the recipe eats an exclusive drop from one of the nine unique enemies. If yes, you need a better reason than “the icon is gold.”
- Take it into one dungeon room you already train. If End Looting happens sooner, keep it. If the torch still dies on a full island, the problem may be spawn count, not the steel.
Torch versus hero weapons
You and the party do not share one item slot in the footage. Your hover circle is the torch; heroes swing what the Guild and Blacksmith gave them. Weapon-area tree nodes mostly talk to your circle. Do not buy a 5% area leaf with silver because the Barbarian’s sword looks small. That mix-up shows up in first-look videos constantly.
Sixteen weapons, four-to-five-hour campaign
An optimized run is about four to five hours. You will not master sixteen swings. You will find two or three that match Barbarian / Shaman / Bowman and ignore the rest until Expeditions demand a specialist. That is healthy. Pair this page with the hero tier list so you do not bench Shaman because a new hammer dropped, and with the build tier list so the craft sits inside a real comp.
When a patch names the remaining weapons, they get rows here. Until then, rank function, not fan-art.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
How many weapons are in Bones and Coins?
Sixteen in the full Steam release, each with a unique attack animation. Public footage only names a few early crafts such as a dagger, wooden bow, and gauntlets.
What is the best weapon?
The one that matches the hero’s job: fast melee on Barbarian, projectiles on Bowman, mark speed on Shaman. There is no single global best.
Should I forge as soon as Blacksmith opens?
Forge cheap common parts. Hold exclusive enemy drops until the craft is clearly S or A for a hero you actually run. See loot and economy.
Do skill tree area nodes upgrade hero weapons?
Footage treats weapon-area leaves as upgrades to your torch circle. Confirm the tooltip before you spend silver. The skill tree page covers the misread.
